The Newer of Two Near Sisters

Gulet Yuce Bey 1 is 24 metres with a 6.8 metre beam, five cabins for ten guests and a crew of four. Built in 2008, luxury class, home port Marmaris. She is the slightly newer near sister to Gulet Yuce Bey, and between the two of them a group of ten has a good, affordable choice out of the same port.

What a Week on Board Feels Like

A boat this size is a close holiday. Ten guests, four crew, everyone at one table, and a 24 metre hull that gets into the small coves the larger gulets have to anchor outside of. For a group of friends or a single family, that intimacy is the whole appeal.

Days go the simple way. Engines after breakfast, an hour of motoring, then a bay for swimming until the afternoon heat drops. The crew of four cook, run the tender and sail the boat, and by the third day nobody is checking the time. Meals are the fixed points; everything between them is up to you.

Marmaris weeks work on a small gulet because the anchorages sit close together. No long passages, so the boat spends most of the week stationary and swimming rather than moving.

Five Cabins for Ten Guests

Ten guests across five cabins, master, double and twin, each en suite with its own air conditioning. She suits a family taking the whole boat, or five couples who would rather a well kept smaller gulet than pay for length. The generators hold the air conditioning overnight, so the cabins are cool through the night even in August.

Where She Cruises

Marmaris runs two ways. West into Hisaronu and around Datca for quiet water. East toward Gocek, Fethiye and the twelve islands. The Greek Dodecanese is a day off with clearance arranged in advance. The whole stretch is the Turkish Riviera, and it holds up well against anywhere in the Mediterranean.

The Gulf of Gokova route is the classic first week here. Her near sister Gulet Yuce Bey is the same size out of the same port, often at a slightly lower rate. For a larger group, Gulet Berrak Su is a six cabin boat for twelve.
