A Recently Refitted Boat Out of Bodrum
Gulet Lorient is 31 metres with a 7.5 metre beam, five cabins for ten guests and a crew of four. Built in 2009 and refitted in 2022, luxury class, home port Bodrum. Twin 490 HP Caterpillar engines and a recent refit make her one of the better kept mid size gulets working the Bodrum peninsula.
What a Week on Board Feels Like
Ten guests on a 31 metre boat is a comfortable number. Everyone eats at one table on the aft deck, there is room to spread out forward, and a crew of four for ten means the tender goes when you want it and the glasses stay full without anyone asking.
The Bodrum peninsula is the appeal here. The bays sit close together, so mornings are short hops rather than long passages: engines on after breakfast, half an hour to somewhere like Gumusluk or the quieter water off Turkbuku, then swimming until the heat drops. The 2022 refit shows in the small things, the cabins and the deck finish, which after a few seasons is where older gulets start to look tired.
Evenings settle on the aft deck. The generator holds the air conditioning through the night, dinner runs late, and in a bay off the peninsula with the lights of the town well behind you, the week slows down to the pace you came for.
Five Cabins for Ten Guests
Ten guests across five cabins, a master and four guest cabins, each with an en suite bathroom and its own air conditioning. Fewer, larger cabins on a 31 metre hull means real space below rather than a corridor of doors. She suits a family taking the whole boat, or five couples who would rather a recently refitted smaller gulet than pay for length.
Where She Cruises
Bodrum opens north into the Gulf of Gokova and south around the Datca peninsula, both a morning away, with the peninsula’s own bays closer still. Kos and the nearer Greek islands are reachable with clearance arranged in advance. The town’s own Milta Bodrum Marina is where most weeks start.
The Gulf of Gokova route is the classic Bodrum week. In the same class, Gulet Grace is a 33 metre ultra luxury gulet for twelve, a step up in finish out of the same port. If your group would rather sail than motor, the catamaran Camaron is another Bodrum option.
