A Tatiana Yacht Charter on the Largest Bilgin Ever Built

A Tatiana yacht charter starts before you are properly on board. The tender turns in, eighty metres of dark hull fills the window, and somebody has already taken your bag. Nobody rushes. That is the first thing guests notice about her.

Tatiana is the largest yacht ever built by Bilgin Yachts, the Istanbul shipyard that has been in the same family since 1929. Naval architecture and exterior lines are by Unique Yacht Design. The interiors are by H2 Yacht Design, worked in Macassar ebony, pale eucalyptus and veined marble. She was delivered in 2021 after six years of construction, the first of the Bilgin 263 series.

Eight suites. Twelve guests. Twenty crew. A helipad, an infinity pool, a private cinema, a beach club at the waterline, a gymnasium, a sauna, and a lift running through four decks. Bodrum is her natural departure point, and the Aegean opens from there.

What a Week on Board Feels Like

Mornings are the part guests talk about afterwards. Coffee on the aft deck at seven, the bay still flat, the only sound the tender coming down off its cradle. By nine somebody has decided the day. A crossing to Kos. A long lunch in a cove with no road to it. Or nothing at all, which is often the better choice.

The infinity pool on the main deck aft is where the middle of the day goes. Sun pads on three sides, the water running to the edge and over it, the sea a metre below on the other side of the rail. Lunch is laid on the same deck. Nobody changes out of a towel.

Evenings are when Tatiana becomes a different vessel. The deck lighting comes up, the sky lounge fills, and you become aware that every other boat in the anchorage is looking at yours. Dinner runs late under the stars. The cinema is there for the ones who drift off early, and the sauna is there for the ones who came back from the water toys sore.

Eight Suites for Twelve Guests

Accommodation runs to eight suites: a full-beam master on its own owner’s deck, two VIP cabins, four doubles and a twin. Three kings, four queens, a double and two singles, each suite with its own bathroom.

The rooms are large without being cold. H2 Yacht Design kept the windows deep and the palette warm, so you wake up to water rather than to a wall. Storage is real, not token. A crew of twenty covers the rest, from the galley to the tenders, and they are unusually good at not being seen until the moment they are needed.

The Beach Club and the Water

The beach club at the transom is among the best on any yacht her size. It opens directly onto the sea, doubles as a lounge rather than a garage, and is where most guests end up between swims. Towels, cold drinks, shade, and the water a step away.

Performance and Range

Tatiana is built on a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure and powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M73 diesels producing 2,560 kW each. She cruises at 15 knots, tops out at 19, and carries a range of 7,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. Zero speed stabilisers hold her steady both underway and at anchor, which is the difference between a good night’s sleep and a long one.
